KATHMANDU: India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has explained that the comments made by its External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar are that the Lord Gautam was an Indian alluded to the mutual Buddhist legacy between Nepal and India.
“There is no uncertainty that Gautam Buddha was conceived in Lumbini, which is in Nepal,” MEA’s Official Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava today said while reacting to a media question on the comments.
